Hello October!

October is here, bringing cooler mornings, shorter days, and the start of the fall season! As the weather begins to change, it’s a great time to start preparing our homes and properties for the colder months ahead.

This month, we encourage our residents to take a few minutes to make sure everything in their home is ready for the seasonal change. Be sure to visit our Cold Weather Preparation tab for helpful reminders, including checking smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, testing your heater before you really need it, and reporting any maintenance concerns early.

October is also a good time to remind everyone about the importance of routine Property Inspections. Visit our Property Inspections tab to learn more about why inspections are conducted, what to expect, and how they help us identify maintenance needs and keep our properties safe and well cared for.

Fall Weather Prep

Fall is officially here, and with cooler temperatures on the way, now is a great time to make sure your home is ready for the change in weather. As you begin using your heater again, please take a moment to make sure it is working properly and report any maintenance concerns before the colder weather arrives.

If your home has a gas heater that requires the pilot light to be lit, you may contact PG&E at 1-800-743-5000 or visit www.pge.com for assistance with free pilot lighting!

October is also a great time to check your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms to make sure they are working properly. If you notice a problem with an alarm or other safety equipment in your home, please contact our office so we can assist.

Property Inspections

Throughout October and November, Metzger Property Management will be working with a licensed property inspection company to complete routine property inspections at properties with 10 units or fewer.

The inspection company will be contacting tenants directly to schedule appointments for access to their homes. If your property is included in this round of inspections, please be on the lookout for a call, text, or other communication regarding scheduling.

These inspections help us evaluate the overall condition of the property, identify maintenance or safety concerns, and address items that may need attention.

We appreciate your cooperation in providing access and helping us keep the properties we manage safe and well maintained.
